Glazed quartz crucibles (A3 glazed)
SPECIAL PROPERTIES
Glazed quartz crucibles have the advanÂtage over laboÂraÂtory porceÂlain that they are signifÂiÂcantly less temperÂaÂture-sensiÂtive. The recomÂmended heatÂing rate for laboÂraÂtory porceÂlain is approx. 2 °C/min., for glazed quartz crucibles it is approx. 10 °C/min. These can be used at a temperÂaÂture of up to 1200 °C, while porceÂlain can only be used up to 1000 °C.
