SPECIAL PROPERTIES
Glazed quartz crucibles have the advanĀtage over laboĀraĀtory porceĀlain that they are signifĀiĀcantly less sensiĀtive to temperĀaĀture. The recomĀmended heatĀing rate is approx. 2 °C/min for laboĀraĀtory porceĀlain and approx. 10 °C/min for glazed quartz crucibles. These can be used at temperĀaĀtures of up to 1200 °C, whereas porceĀlain can only be used up to 1000 °C.
