SPECIAL PROPERTIES
Glazed quartz crucibles have the advanĀtage over laboĀraĀtory porceĀlain that they are signifĀiĀcantly less sensiĀtive to temperĀaĀture. The recomĀmended heatĀing rate is approx. 2 Ā°C/min for laboĀraĀtory porceĀlain and approx. 10 Ā°C/min for glazed quartz crucibles. These can be used at temperĀaĀtures of up to 1200 Ā°C, whereas porceĀlain can only be used up to 1000 Ā°C.
